Radiate: The Daily Post Response

Abbie Leigh’s Color of the Day: Red ❀️

Me in a red bikini this afternoon.

Below, I’ve included a poem from the book Dirty Pretty Things:

Red

She was obsessed with the color red,

this dangerous girl with scarlet lips.

Her reckless kisses written in blood upon a page i could not turn.

As my excerpt displays through emojis and my photo displays in the form of my bikini, red is a color of confidence. Do i usually feel this way about photographs of myself? No, definitely not. But every once in a while, a good angle is achieved and it’s flattering. πŸ˜‡

Each emoji associated with confidence and sexiness is on that side of the color spectrum:

Seeing Red: Does Red Make You Sexy?: Does wearing red make you more appealing to the opposite sex by Melissa Burkley Ph.D explores this idea and more. Proving first through the evidence of several studies focused on the color red and attraction, Burkely explains that red is the color to which the eye is most attracted.

The beautiful yellow flowers which bloom in my backyard. πŸ˜‡

The above photograph isn’t red, but it is on the same side of the color spectrum. I took a photograph of it today!

Thanks for taking a look at Today’s Cup of Tea! πŸ΅πŸ’š
