During late July, my boyfriend and I spent the weekend in sunny San Diego, California, to celebrate my birthday. Aside from heading out to the Gaslamp District for some exciting evenings, we visited a gorgeous local park along with the beach, which is dear to my heart.
One afternoon, after lazing in the hotel room and soaking up the views, we went to Balboa Park, which features tons of natural displays of beauty in addition to museums, walking paths, and more. Below is a photo I took outside of an observatory inside the park.
This was certainly the most wonderful part of the entire trip for myself, and served as a great source of writing inspiration. There is also a cactus garden and rose garden, among other lovely sights.

One night out, we visited a restaurant and bar space called El Chingon, which, I must say, had some quite amazing chamoy mango margaritas and tacos.
San Diego was the perfect spot to celebrate another year of life with my love. 🌴
