Yesterday was my best friend since elementary school’s birthday, and to celebrate we visited the beach with all of her closest friends and boyfriend. It was a lovely afternoon, a bit hot but that’s what to expect on a sunny SoCal summer day.
My friend’s favorite place to be has always been the beach, so with her in mind [plus myself since i enjoy it too], I’ve included below a poem from a poetry novel titled the princess saves herself in this one, written by Amanda Lovelace, a young and inspiring poet who is on the path to great success. Below, i’ve included a passage from the book referencing mermaids:
